Tutorial Post
The room that the small fairy was standing in was starting to freak her out a bit. Not that she would show it she thought to herself. The fact it kept changing yet not changing at all kept her simple mind on one thought. Where the heck was this? As time passed, she was starting to get annoyed with the fact there was just nothing here.
“Hello, Cirno”
That startled her. "Who's there?.." She tried to whirl around, to locate the source of the voice. When she realized that she could not move..Well..She continued to try and move. Stubbornness kept her trying for a few moments longer then necessary. Finally she stopped the attempts, only to shout, "HEY! It's not fair not to let me move. Are you wanting a fight?" After a moment of silence, she starts to notice that there is floor beneath her feet once more. 'Eh?..I though we were flying...?"
“I am nothing, we are nowhere.”
Hiding her confusion was never her strong point, "Eh?!?!?! What is that supposed to mean?" Before too long a very fierce looking pout crosses her face, "Come on! Tell me what is going on?" For a moment she forgets that she is unable to move and tries to whirl about to find an exit. After a few more minutes of her struggling to move she stops, giving the voice another chance to speak to her.
“Are you ready? Please step forward.”
"What do you mean by that? You have me..." As she speaks, her body response to her demands once more. She walks forwards, nearly tripping as her mind collects the fact she is able to move once more. She blushes a bit but composes herself and take in her surroundings.
“Please be patient.”
“Every journey begins somewhere, you have taken the first step towards Utopia.”
She pauses, puzzling over the way to voice said that word. "Utopia? What is that?" She waits for a moment before shrugging it off, not getting an answer. She looks about once again and spots the door that just started to form. "'Ey! This better not be some prank!" She walks over to the door and prods it, expecting some,thing to happen. When nothing does happen she grabs the handle and opens the door with a flourish, charging forward. Crunching snow sounds from under her feet and makes her pause. The chilly air, the forest surroundings and the mist around a lake makes her smile, "It's my lake and at the best time!...Wait...But it was just spring..?" She turns around and then spots her shadow. As it stretches out, she backs up a bit As it smiles she takes another step back.
Do not be afraid,” the shadow says, in a familiar voice. “I am here to help you.”
"Help me? Help with what?"
“To find Utopia, of course.”
She starts walking towards the lake, ignoring the voice's response for the moment. Heading towards the water she watches the shadow take form and follow her. She grins and decides to play around a bit, leaping to the left, hopping on one foot for 10 steps and then switching. After that amusing moment the shadow stops and smiles at her.
“Will you fight?”
Cirno crosses her arms and grins cockily, "I'll fight anything. I'm the Strongest after all! Why do you ask though?"
“To fight is the only way to achieve victory, you know. The only way to achieve Utopia.”
She grins and then nods, "Sure. Gotta fight everyone to prove my strength!"
“The pact is made, I am yours.”
A blank look crosses her face, "Wait...Pact? What are you talking about? and why do you sound like more then one person?" She does not resist as the shadow takes her hands. Unnoticed by her for the moment, that shadow's chest glows. She notices it once her hands are pulled to that area.
“Draw your weapon.”
She reaches in, and then pulls, not fully comprehending what was happening but going with it anyway. If doing what the shadow her said got her out of this odd situation, she was all for it. Sliding out of the shadow was a short sword that was tinged blue to give it an icy sheen. Cirno was surprised to say the least but smiled at it. The weapon, although to her hands it felt out of place but at the same time fit like a glove, made her feel whole.
While Cirno was admiring the blade, a giant frog crashed into the clearing with a thunderous croak. It looks around and spots the fairy that had tormented so many of it's kind before now. The fact that she was distracted helped matters as it started to hop towards the fairy and her shadow.
“This is you,” the voice is telling you, seemingly unaware of the frog drawing closer. “A power that dwells within you and within everyone.” The frog closes in, ready to attack.
“Its name,” Cirno turns to face the frog, turning pale a bit but ready to fight it off, “is....Perfect Freeze.”
Hearing the name, Cirno smirks a bit, "Something I use is the name of this? Works for me.." With that Cirno heads forward, swinging the blade at the amphibian. She had never used a sword before so it was an award swing at best. It misses the frog but makes it hop backwards, seeing that the fairy was no longer unaware of it's presence.
After that initial swipe, an idea tugged at her mind and she grinned, although she wondered why this didn't occur to her before. But before she could do anything, while she was distracted with her idea, the frog lashes out at her with it's tongue, knocking her over. As she tries to get back up, the frog leaps and almost lands on her. She scowls a bit and then puts her idea into action. The sword glows softly as she snaps her fingers and starts to fly around the frog, swiping at it's head as she passed.
This goes on for quite a while, Cirno getting knocked out of the sky numerous times as she would to decide to taunt the poor creature and it would get a shot in from it's tongue. With a final slash of the sword, She lands and the frog disappears in a lot of smoke. Cirno crumples to her knees for a moment, turning as she hears the clattering of metal hitting the ground. "What's this?"
“You kept your vow. In payment, take those coins.”
She reaches over and picks up the coins, looking them over for a moment before getting back to her feet. She looks about for her shadow and sees it has started to leave her behind. "Wait for me!" She chases after it, wondering where it is leading her to. She didn't have to wait long to find out as they came across a shop. It was one she didn't recognize, "When did they open a store near me lake..?" She wonders out loud as she heads inside.
At the counter, a goblin and a customer that Cirno could not make out talk about a transaction, “A memory? That’ll be forty Raks.” With a smile, the customer pays and then leaves, passing Cirno by like she wasn't there. She watches the customer leave with a confused look before approaching the counter. "Hey! I want what they got!" She looks to her shadow and gets a nod, approving her choice.
“Sixty Raks for a memory charm,”
She blinks a few times before counting her money. She shakes her head and then shoves the hand with her money at the goblin, "I only have 30. Take it or leave it!" The goblin counts her money and stares at the fairy for a moment before taking the coins. It passes over a small charm and just watches as the fairy grins, laughs and takes off out of the door.
When she finally stops and explains her laughter, "I only gave him 30 and it was more. sucker!" The shadow shakes it's head then smiles, "It goes on the chain round your wrist.” With a quick glance to her wrist and spots the chain, "Where did this come from..? Eh...." She starts to clip it on when the voices suddenly singing distracts her. She looks up and spots her shadow joining in..
This is a very simple story that everyone knows. A legend of a Princess, the Demon Lord who kidnapped her, and the Knight who fought to save her.
The Demon Lord had kidnapped the Princess countless times, but every time the Knight bested his challenges and rescued the Princess.
No matter what tricks and ploys the Demon Lord used, the Knight would always triumph in the end...
After that a another places sounds and voices intrude, washing away the current setting, as she looks around everything just fades out as she hears, "Next stop: Rakuen Station. This train terminates here. All change...”
